After several months of hard work, we are delighted to announce that Bistro’clock, located in the heart of the historical Jewelry Quarter of Birmingham, is finally open. The Georgian building, which is surrounded with decades of legacy from Gold Smiths and traders from the victorian era, offers the perfect setting for « Tradition, trend and innovation ». We can't wait for you to visit us so that we can share with you the Bistro experience .
Bistro’clock is already open for you to enjoy, but we want to celebrate the opening with current and future customers. Please join us on the 11th November from 12pm till close, with your friends and family to experience a journey into time and traditions!
The Grand Opening ceremony, aptly named 'Back to Essential' will tease you with some of our menu tasters as well as offering house drinks and much more. Everyone will be welcome to enjoy our delicious surprises, but we will also host special entertainment where magic happens from 7pm!
Our menu, served from 7am to 11pm, will allow you to chose from comforting classic dishes that we all love, but will also challenge you to go for something more adventurous and equally delicious. Traveling into time, cultures and taste! Our 'feel good' evening menu, based on the best sourced and seasonal products, working hand in hand with local producers and suppliers will offer you a large range of fresh British seafood to enjoy, not to be outdone by our award winning meat dishes. All our products are at the heart of our mission and have all been sourced with love, care and a focus on fresh, local ingredients.
If you fancy a visit after work, just for drinks, Bistro’clock has a delicious cocktail menu and renowned wine list! Our bartenders will suggest the perfect drink to match your mood! We can also offer a perfect tea or coffee!
It’s a place where we are connected to traditions, diversity and where you can enjoy a friendly atmosphere. The interior design itself translates this combination with typical Bistro furniture and lighting; cosy and comfy! But you’re better off coming to discover this for yourself and check out work from local artists.
The feeling inside is the fusion between tradition and innovation, creating a timeless trend. Very organic during the day and elegantly atmospheric on a dark winters night, Bistro’clock and the team believe in legacy and into supporting local talents. From the artwork on walls which was hand painted by genius James Dawson (specialist in sacred geometry) to our bespoke industrial lights made by the successful Jam jar light company (website), you will enter a world of sensorial adventures!
Notes for Editors:
Bistro’clock came to life with the idea of matching Past-Present-Future, which in few words means traditions-trends-Innovations. The myth behind the word « Bistro » and where it comes from, helps to define your experience at Bistro’clock!
Originally, « Bistrot" started in the heart of Paris, during 18th century, some claim that the etymology of the word Bistro comes from the Russian word "Bistral" which means "hurry up" but the fact is that Bistros are before all, places where « everyone" can pop briefly or stay to get some homely/comfy food and drinks, generally served by the owners or family members, as it’s a family venture!
